18th february

Iwant to keep chickens. I`ve found this amazing egloo, iglo...something chicken house website that is just so cool. I didnt realise chickens were so amazingggg. want.

So I had a `model english class` today that was...understressed. Not that it wasnt stressful, but iut wasnt explained to me the entire extent of how important it may or may not have been.

The kids came and got me as usualy, but they led m,e off in some bizarre direction and up a mystery staircase! ah! I was taken to what i can only discribe as a conference room. Inside was my JTE my supervisor a bunch of my other english teachers and a million serious looking people with notebooks....oh and my 12 or so students. It all went fine except I was nervous, forgot the alphabet and got a huge splinter in my hand while pointing at phonics noises with too much gusto.

then the kids stole me away to have me dance that dance from that _Haruhi show....I knew i should have learned that when I had the chance.

February 10th

Every time I come to this one school this wonderful lady brings me coffee. I wish I had told her the first time that I really dont like coffee too much.

alas....

To be honest it`s growing on me the more I drink it. Still though.... it makes me have to pee like woah

I`m terrible at updating this blog, something, something, Lupin

Sorry anyone who cares. I guess that proves i`ve had no major hassle since getting here?
I`ve started keeping a PHYSICAL journal that I write in when im dying of boredom during the school day or during my BOE days. So i`m going to transcribe it during OTHER boring school o rboe days. Arent you just the luckiest.

Ichimai no Meiga

So in Japan I remain.
All goes well. I'm having a great time with the other JETS travelling around Japan and going to random places. Me and Andrea have been working at trying to get our christmas shopping done and posted as soon as possible and it's going good! It's difficult to find LIGHT gifts but i'm working through the list okay, haha.

I have an art exhibition in Nichihara this month apparantly, and my DANCE FESTIVAL extravaganza is next weekend I think. Holy god i'm not very good at japanese dancing in the slightest but I hope someone will take a bit of video for me to post up here.

I've gotten a turtle called It's Beverly Sugarsticks with co-parent Greg and won about 20 goldfish at a festival so i'm definately not without pets.
Ive also started a kind of vegetable garden (in plantpots) and am growing lots of strawberries, broccolli, cauliflower, scallions and other stuff.

I'm still getting into cars with people who arrive at my house and ask me if i'm ready. I rarely remember making these plans with these strangers but it usually ends with me geing to some kind of koto concert or art exhibition, so i'll keep it up probably.

Zenigame-gundan tōjō!

Its impossible to keep this up to date. BUT. So far everything seems to be going well.

I work across 10 schools and 2 extra classes and they all seem to go really well. The kids are great ....the highschool kids are great doo but a bit scary and OLD.

Ive for some reason volunteered to take part in some kind of traditional dance thing which i am VERY VERY bad at. My basis of knowlege in traditional japanese dance is limited at best so this is like SUPER DUPER difficult. I did horribly last week some hopefully i am semi-compitent this week. performance is in just a few weeks <:c.

とっつあんの惚れた女

Adventures adventures

and no time to sit still.

So I arrived back in my apaato after returning from the kenshukan course. It starts to feel like home, thankfully (hopefully more so after i go to the yamaguchi flea market next sunday)

I still have no pet, which makes it seem quite lonely in here.....im very very used to having pets about. I have been here for over a month now and have yet to see a classroom. I go to one of my 10 schools tomorrow and i forget if ive been there already and should be prepared for kids, or if i am just having a lesson plan meeting. I guess ill know by this time tomorrow.

I have met so many awesome people since getting here, most notibly the stranger whos car i got into on thursday with the promse of candy, puppies, and a welcome party. Hanging out with these four guys was definately the most fun I have had so far. I hope I will get to hang out with them more. Apparantly they like to try arrange a country music festival each year.....the 4 of them.

The wonderful Caroline brought me to Tsuwano snr high sports festival. It was something else to say the least....

hungry like a wolf

i apologise for not keeping this blog as step-by-step as i had wanted and promise to go through all the little things that the jet program surprised me with over the last few weeks.

right now im in a kenshukan having daily japanese classes in matsue city before the shimane jet orientation days. i have shopped a lot. eaten a lot. and had a lot of fun here but i am quite looking forward to getting home to nichihara and getting back into the routine i have yet to discover.
